Doctor: Infrasound is a huge yet
unrecognized threat to the entire biodiversity
There
are already more than 30,000 wind turbines in Germany.
When they rotate, they not only generate electricity,
but also infrasound. For medical specialist Dr. Ursula
Bellut-Staeck, this makes them the cause of various
symptoms of illness - [...] "a huge problem for all
forms of organisms", including humans [...] "Around 60
percent of the energy converted (by the wind turbines)
is dissipated partly as audible sound, partly as
infrasound and partly as heat in a rotating motion. At
the same time, structure-borne noise is transmitted to
the ground via the tower, which can penetrate into
houses." Buildings would therefore offer no protection
against infrasound. "On the contrary: airborne
infrasound and ground-borne structure-borne noise can
add up considerably in rooms. Standing waves can form in
living spaces, but also in stables". According to
Bellut-Staeck, infrasound has an effect on the
microcirculation, i.e. the blood circulation of the fine
capillary network. This regulates itself without any
negative influence and provides the body with the
required amount of oxygen and nutrients at all times.
More precisely, the endothelial cells, which are located
on the inner wall of the capillaries, react to the
infrasound. In addition to transporting nutrients, these
cells have many vital functions such as growth,
embryonic development, inflammation and blood pressure
regulation, explains the doctor.
"Since around 2015, we have noticed that people who have
been exposed to infrasound and vibration from technical
emitters have shown symptoms that correspond to
microcirculatory disorders." This effect was
particularly noticeable after smaller wind turbines were
replaced by larger ones. Bellut-Staeck listed symptoms
such as significant increases in blood pressure,
weakness, dizziness, headaches, concentration disorders,
chest pressure, cardiac insufficiency, cardiac
arrhythmia, school performance disorders in children and
sleep disorders.
In addition to humans, numerous animals have also
reacted to wind turbines. [...] In addition,
reproductive capacity has declined in all of them, as
well as an increased incidence of malformations.
According to the doctor, when the low-frequency and
impulsive sound hits endothelial cells, a conversion
into mechanical energy takes place in the organism. The
